Oh my beloved prince, return again to me!

The white dragon has turned on you her pale green eyes,
And you have fallen...Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
Your armour, pure and glinting in the sun
is hidden from the light, wrapped in the web
which you have used to bind yourself to her.

Echoes of the Moon

Eyes turned inside out with looking at the hands that never moved

and the mouth so quick to open to the echoes of the moon

when the river flows with water and the body still is borne

like the monkey on the back of man who walks along the shore

Listen! The White Lady is calling!

She calls out with a clear and crystal voice,
and she sings to me as the sunset falls
Holding out her long and slender hands;
pure and white against the colour of the sky
I am invited to the revels, make haste!

The Moon Shines Shattered Icicles

The moon shines shattered icicles;

shards of starlight pierce the shadows ;

sharp and silent pictures lie

clear and quiet on the road.

 

(If the frost didn’t glitter so, I could see the eyes

of the shadows behind my thoughts.)
